Civil Service and Administrative Reform
Civil Society participation is critical to good governance and we offer experience in a complementary range of support mechanisms relating to decentralization and strengthening of local governance. Our work focuses on developing consultative mechanisms that involve local government and civil society in decision making, with the aim of increasing responsiveness at all levels of government. Our most highlighted project in Civil service and administrative reform include the DfID funded Managing At The Top 2 (MATT 2) Bangladesh Public Service Capacity Building Programme, which is being implemented to create conditions for incremental administrative reform and performance improvement within the Bangladesh Civil Service and to create a critical mass of reform-minded civil servants.
